OFFICIAL OPENING CARDINIA AQUATIC CENTRE

This state of the art indoor pool complex constructed by Behmer & Wright is an architecturally stunning project incorporating a lap pool, programme pool and infant leisure pool.

Cardinia Aquatic Centre has won the Department of Sport and Recreation award in the category “Community Facility Design”.

These Awards are presented to individuals and organizations for their positive and inspirational contributions to sport and recreation in communities across Victoria.

The building was designed by Architects, Prior + Cheney. Behmer & Wright have successfully completed a number of landmark projects with Prior + Cheney including;

• City of Booroondara Sports Centre

• Beaconsfield Community Centre for Shire of Cardinia

ANOTHER BEHMER & WRIGHT PROJECT WINS ARCHITECTURE AWARD

Behmer & Wright recently completed the Australian Wildlife Health Centre at the Healesville Sanctuary. The company worked closely with personnel from Healesville Sanctuary and Melbourne Zoo, Root Projects and Minifie Nixon in completing this outstanding project. The company is delighted that the project was announced the winner of the William Wardell Award for Institutional Architecture for architects Minifie Nixon at the 2006 Victorian Architecture Awards.
