Behmer & Wright are committed to providing a safe working environment for its employees, contractors and the general public at each of our work places with compliance with all requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
This has, and will continue to be our highest priority on all projects.
The Construction Manager for the project prepares a specific Health & Safety Coordination Plan for all works to be undertaken on the site. Compliance with the relevant legislative and statutory requirements including the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, Regulations and Code of Practice is fundamental.
All of Behmer & Wright’s personnel hold Construction Induction (or equivalent) Cards, with senior supervisory and construction management personnel completing industry specific 5-day safety training courses and Level 2 First Aid courses.
Our Project Managers undertake weekly safety inspections to ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Coordination Safety Plan throughout the construction process. An Occupational Health and Welfare representative is also deployed full time on our larger projects to manage and coordinate all sub-contractors as well as to identify risk areas and ensure appropriate precautionary measures are adopted.
